You do not need to click or press on Brave Ads in order to earn from them. You earn BAT for Brave Ads when they appear on your screen. For example, when a Brave Ads push notification appears on your screen, you earn for just having it appear on your screen. However, you should certainly click a Brave Ad if you're interested in the ad and would like to learn more about what it has to offer.

If you'd like to dismiss a Brave Ads push notification without opening it, you can swipe or slide it away. If you don't engage with it, the push notification will automatically disappear after a couple of minutes.
