How do I enable Adblock-Only mode? Follow
Adblock-Only mode is an opt-in, experimental setting in Brave. It keeps Brave’s adblocking on, but disables the more advanced privacy protections; that can sometimes cause websites to break or stop working properly. Many websites rely on third-party advertising and tracking scripts that Brave normally blocks, and some are misconfigured so that blocking a tracking request causes the page to fail. We work hard to make our privacy protections work without breaking websites, but given the size of the Web, some breakage is inevitable. Adblock-Only mode trades Brave’s stricter protections for better website compatibility, while still blocking unwanted ads.
Important note: The standard privacy protection afforded by Brave Shields will be significantly reduced in Adblock-Only mode, and users who choose to enable this mode will not have advanced controls over their Shields settings. We do not recommend this mode for anyone except the most advanced users.
